Tang Chinese Restaurant

Tang Chinese Restaurant is located at the joint of Dong Feng Road and Jian She Six Road. Chinese food is a combination of the Chinese food culture and essence of cooking. Tang, without losing the characteristics of Cantonese food, digests the recipes from the eight food series of China, the royal series and from all over the country.

Written in historical materials, Cantonese cooks took notice of improving the cooking ever since Tang Dynasty. They chose different ways to cook depending on the food materials. They used a lot of seasoning to make a special taste.

In Ming and Qing Periods, Cantonese cooks kept learning from the recipes from home and abroad, bringing the Cantonese food culture into golden times. On one hand, Cantonese food was improved by learning from foreign dishes; on the other hand, it started to influence European and American food with the travel of overseas Cantonese. In Qing Period, there came up a group of famous dishes in Guangzhou. The cooking became various and consummate. When the Manhan Feast, which is a combination of Cantonese food, Sichuang food, Suzhou food and Shandong food, became popular in Guangzhou, the cooking of Cantonese food reached the peak.

In modern times, Cantonese food is influenced a lot by western-style food. "Western food, Chinese cooking" "Chinese food, Western cooking" "Combination of Chinese and Western food" these ways of cooking show that Cantonese food is most advanced in the whole country. The influence of Cantonese food speaks for itself. That is why Cantonese people are all gastronomists. They try everything new, and their taste is somehow changed. Therefore, Cantonese cooks have to change the recipes from all the series and improve them. "Changing is the way from poverty to affluence."This old Chinese saying is also the principle of Tang Chinese Restaurant.
