Founded in 1889, Lian Xiang Lou Restaurant is located in the west of Guangzhou city. The three words “Lian Xiang Lou” was written by Chen Ru Yue, a great scholar from Nanhai in the late Qing Dynasty. The pure lotus seed paste created by the restaurant is famous for smooth taste and rich flavor of lotus seed. The restaurant is praised as the No.1 restaurant making lotus seed paste.

Present Lian Xiang Lou has developed into a chain enterprise composed of restaurant, cake, trade and production of lotus seed paste. It has a restaurant with seating for over 600, six cake shops (food shop), two food factories and a trade section.

Since 1984, Lian Xiang Lou has been actively developing traveling service. It provides tourist party all day service and receives almost 300 foreign tourists each day. It once won the prize of the advanced unit in the competition of national traveling service.
